This means enemy snipers will be very high on a sniper's to-kill list: even if your sniper loses, your MG is probably safe). I keep career stats for the units in my Bolt Action armies, and my best sniper has scored 20 kills over the course of 36 games: a success rate of just under 59%. That's pretty good, but it's hardly game-breaking: even if my opponent doesn't bother with counter-sniping at all, his machine gun has a decent chance of surviving the entire battle, despite the attentions of my sniper.

The Char 2C is looking better and better. It's got enough MMGs and a howitzer to do anti-infantry. If I include a rifle platoon and two AT Guns, that should make for a solid force.

You can take armoured platoons in 2nd ed Bolt Action, with 5 tanks - using the Tank War book or campaign books

I've got Sharpe's Command, it's weird how they can't decide whether he's a Captain or Major, as he's referred to as both. He should just be a Captain given the chronological order of the book, other than that, it's good.

Played too much Xcom, I cant bring myself to so carelessly send people to their death over some commanders perceived value of the objective. We can get the objective later, after the area has been secured, no need to rush in right now. We need you in the battles to come soldier. (which is kinda ironic considering that i love to charge into melee...and ignore the objective. :/ ) But if i did play guard it would be xcom like.

So this vehicle is the most fun US tank available in battlefield 5. It has a howitzer variant, a SPAA variant, and the standard cannon shown here, multiple upgrades available, and is the fastest armored vehicle for the US. Unfortunately they did not give us the M2 .50 cal instead giving us a .30 cal Browning M1919 machine gun. It should’ve been the .50 cal to give it an advantage over it’s german contemporary the Sd.Kfz. 234 “Puma.” Armed with similar armaments, excluding the SPAA version as the german army already had the Wirbelwind and Ostwind SPAA Platforms.

Remember that these are only the Generic platoons and that presumably the nation/Campaign book rewrites will give us more flexible platoon organisation. I for one am happy to see the end of Assault pistols but the SAS/LRDG has been seriously nerfed with the new Vehicle MG rules

I am a little worried about how many officers we will need. I think most players have only one. Also now cant just throw in a tank you have to take other vehicle which is quite an inconvenience.

I actually hope Platoon Commanders are very diverse. Army command is sometimes good and sometimes bad. You should have the choice of super cheap commanders that are literally a tax, maybe even give some penalty. Then you have expensive commanders that, like MG said, gives real benefits that you want to have. That way your elite army can be even more elite, and your horde can be even more horde!

American tanks used the 50cal as suppression fire on ground targets.

So if I want to take some infantry, heavy weapons, artillery and armour I'm gonna have to take 5 rifle platoons with lieutenants that's a big chunk of points.

@1:06:30 poor skaven have been done so dirty. Honestly, it feels like they need to get an extra 20% points more than their opponent just to make things reasonable. I know that they're a legacy army... but hopefully one all the non-legacy armies get their arcane journals, GW rethinks their plans and starts releasing arcane journals for the legacy armies as well. (and until they get at least some kind of errata, we're going to keep letting our skaven friends bring an extra 100-200 points of clanrats for free.)

It's one of any platoon for each rifle platoon.

I wonder then if they dialed back MMGs on tanks if they’ll put in the tracer fire to make their HE or AT main gun more accurate ? If so I’m all for the MMG change on the tanks. They are pretty clever with their fluffy stuff so I for one would love some tracer fire accuracy improvement.

As a French player a welcome my 3 Howitzer 5 medium mortar platoon options. Also I don't think platoon commanders will be any better. Warlord knows their game and knows they are a tax and that will be a stealth balance for being allowed to take these new platoons, which looks so far that they could be used for cheese.

In game 3 how did your engineer get to do misfire rerolls twice in one turn? His Master of Ballistics rule only allow him to do it once per turn. Or do you have two engineers and I didnt notice?

Warlord seem like people with brain, compared to GW. Force org chart was great rule and I miss it.

Since your going with so big infantry blocks you should try and put captain in each of your spearmen blocks the two skills of hold the line and rally is quite good. Plus more importantly it gives your unit leadership 8 instead of 7

I wouldn't put it past those wily SOBs at Warlord to have an "epic" version of Bolt Action in the works.
